An American terra cotta facade ornament from the Garrick Theatre in Chicago, Illinois (1891). The Garrick Theater was designed by architects Adler and Sullivan and was originally named the Schiller Theater. At the time it was built, it was one of the tallest buildings in Downtown Chicago. Despite efforts to save the theater it was eventually razed in 1960.
